Tails, Tales, and Cocktails

A Dog-Friendly Social Event is a great success.

35 EDOA members gathered at the Block and Tackle outdoor beer garden last Wednesday afternoon.  The weather was great, the food was great, the dogs were great, and the people were OK.  Nah! They were great too.

The dogs finally settled down after excited introductions and their humans were able to relax and enjoy an adult beverage or two.  Conversation was lively as friendships were made and renewed.

The Block and Tackle folks served up tasty and generous appetizers for the humans and also had some snacks for the dogs.  There was more offered than could be eaten.

The weather attempted to move the animated group along with a surprise rain shower just as things were scheduled to break up.  Even then, the dauntless group found a bit of shelter and continued the good time.

Thanks to EDOA treasurer John Shaw for spearheading this event.  It was a great success so we are sure to be doing something like this again.  Hope you can join us.
